Tracy A. Paul joined Depths of the Earth Company in 1993, bringing
with her seven years of experience in materials science, including
an expertise with high-pressure high temperature uni-axial piston-clinder
apparatus. Her research interests are focused on developing and
using high-pressure instrumentation to synthesize novel materials
for electronic and ceramic applications.
Dr. John R. Holloway
John R. Holloway, founder and owner of Depths of the Earth Company
has spent the last 35 years doing research in high-pressure geochemistry.
In the course of that work he has operated internally heated,
argon-gas media pressure vessels, including pressure-volume-temperature
apparatus, piston-cylinder apparatus of many types, and multi-anvil
devices, as well as having designed and built internally-heated
vessels and piston-cylinder devices. He is the co author of a
book on experimental techniques in geochemistry and has successfully
completed thirty separate research projects funded by the National
Science Foundation and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
He has recently become involved in research to synthesize new
materials at high pressures. In addition to the science which
can be done at high pressures and temperatures, he has a long-term
interest in the design and construction of new high-pressure
apparatus.
